The FGD held from February 26 to February 28, 2020 carried the main theme 'Review of the Academic Framework for the Implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions into National Law'. Regarding this, on Thursday (27/02/2020) the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji was also present and appreciated the agenda driven by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to him, what was done and the results of this FGD will certainly bring a big positive impact to Malang City. "We are trusted as the place where this FGD is held, it is very good and will give full support. I will not say much, but I will follow it and want to know what the results of this FGD are," added the bespectacled man.

Separately, the Director of Law and Political and Security Agreements of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Purnomo Ahmad Chandra said that this forum is one of the affirmation efforts. Actually the public understands or not from a resolution and from a number of sources and academics will formulate a resolution that will be submitted to the UN Security Council.

Until now, he said, it must be admitted that Indonesia still has problems in implementing decisions agreed upon in the UN Security Council. As is the case for law enforcement officers who still have difficulty in doing what is requested in an agreement. "This happens when there are cases in the country involving targets or objects of the resolution," he explained.

Regarding this, Chandra said that his party saw that there was a gap that needed to be filled and resolved better. Since last year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also collected all input into an academic draft and discussed it in a focus group discussions. "From FGD like this, we hope that next year there will be results, so that we can immediately submit a resolution to the UN Security Council," he concluded.
