In this hospital owned by the East Java Provincial Government, a special room has been prepared to accommodate and handle if at any time there are patients suspected of the Corona virus. In general, according to the Coordinating Minister for PMK, the readiness is quite good and in accordance with the standards set by the World Health Organization, namely WHO.

The special room and its entrance, he said, are already separate from the general patient care area. In addition, medical personnel and reserves of personal protective equipment or PPE for health workers are sufficient. "However, later there will still be additional, including beds and other supporting facilities. As an early preventive measure and to anticipate various possibilities, various efforts have been made," explained Minister Muhadjir.

Most private hospitals, primary hospitals and community health centers, explained the former Chancellor of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, have been trained and are ready as initial treatment sites, before patients are treated at referral hospitals. "So far, the failure or death rate is less than three percent worldwide. This means that this virus can be dealt with in a cooler manner and there is no need for excessive panic," he said.

In this hospital, the man who previously served as Minister of Education said some time ago there were indeed six people suspected of Covid-19, but after being examined and treated intensively all were declared negative. "Of the six people, one person died, but it was also confirmed that it was not because of the Corona suspect but because of other diseases suffered by the patient before being treated at this hospital," he said.

He further said that what is more important now is for the public not to panic too much, always maintain their health and endurance, and not swallow all information that is not necessarily true. "All of that will be a powerful weapon to fight and or prevent this Corona virus outbreak," concluded Minister Muhadjir.say
