This time the target was the mosque administrators by inviting 80 mosque administrators to the Raden Patah Mosque located in the Brawijaya University Malang area, Wednesday (11/03/2020).

This non-cash payment program received support from the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Malang City and Batu City, as well as Bank Mandiri Syariah Malang. Through this event, mosque administrators and the congregation were invited to give alms in a smart way, namely by using scan QR Code which has been installed in the charity box in the mosque.
Head of Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office, Azka Subhan said that this method is very effective and safer, because there is no worry about counterfeit money entering the charity box. "Just by doing scan"In a matter of seconds, the donated charity goes directly into the mosque's account," he said.
In addition, Azka said that this system will also make it easier for mosque administrators because they do not need to open the charity box and count the money that comes in which is then deposited into the bank. "So the giver and the recipient of alms are both given convenience. Until now, in Malang City in particular, there have been dozens of mosques that have implemented this system," he added.
What also needs to be known is that to give charity in a non-cash way that is connected to QRIS, there are a number of... merchant already possible, such as OVO, Link Aja, Dana and Gopay. "So it's definitely easier and safer when we do charity at the mosque," he concluded. (say/yon)
