(malangkota.go.id) – The plan to increase BPJS Kesehatan contributions was finally canceled after the Supreme Court (MA) granted part of the request for judicial review of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 75 of 2019 concerning Health Insurance. Regarding this, the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Fahmi Idris, during his working visit to Malang City, Wednesday (11/03/2020) said that his party would respect and comply with the decision.
However, Fahmi admitted that until now his party has not received the details of the ruling and when the regulation will be enforced. BPJS Kesehatan will also continue to wait whether the ruling will be retroactive, now, later or in the next few days. However, the ranks of BPJS Kesehatan will soon hold a coordination meeting at the ministerial level to anticipate everything.
In principle, Fahmi said that his party will continue to run operations as well as possible as long as there is no decision to enforce the decision for the sake of public service. "If the decision has been received, BPJS Kesehatan will conduct an analysis, how the cash flow projection is until the end of the year. In addition, it will also immediately coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and other related ministries," he added.
On Thursday, a coordination meeting is also scheduled to be led by KemenkoPMK. Apart from that, there are actually seven institutions that supervise the performance of BPJS Kesehatan, such as OJK, BPK, DPR, KPK and the supervisory board. "The results of the supervision are always published, so that anyone can access it," he explained.
Furthermore, Fahmi said, in addition to strict supervision, every month BPJS Kesehatan provides financial reports to four institutions, namely the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health, OJK and the supervisory board. "Every six months and every year, we also submit reports to the President, so that everything runs transparently," he concluded. (say/yon)
