Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Making prevention effective Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19), Malang City Government launched a tool called SiCo which is an acronym for Corona Brush. This tool is designed to sterilize people (humans_ed). Like spraying disinfectant, this tool also functions to kill/anticipate bacteria by utilizing a chamber screening methods.
Starting from the request of the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji to the Development Acceleration Team led by Professor M. Bisri, the team asked the Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University, Malang to create a tool that could be used to kill bacteria in offices and public spaces. The response was positive, the tool was quickly completed, and the plan was to be used effectively on Friday (20/3/2020).
"I named this tool Sico (Corona Brush). It will function to spray disinfectant mist/vapor onto the human body. The framework of this tool was produced by FT UB students, the liquid was prepared by the Health Office. With the spirit of all parties working together quickly, this week we will produce 50 units, and in the initial stage 20 units will be installed at crowded and service points in Malang City," he explained.
Along with this, the Malang City Government will also launch the Malang Corona Detector application. This application is designed for two things, namely to collect a database of Malang residents who are at risk of Covid-19 and make it easier to track, as well as early detection/check-up/independent screening by the community, whether they have Covid-19 and need to take follow-up action.
