UMM Hospital Opens Covid-19 Call Center Service

Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The General Hospital (RSU) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) provides easy services for the general public to find out developments and information regarding Covid-19 through the RSU UMM Covid-19 Call Center.

"The Covid-19 Call Center of UMM Hospital is the front line of the hospital to respond to public curiosity regarding the development of Covid-19 cases, or to find out their condition," said Dr. Thontowi Djauhari, M.Kes., as the Coordinator of the Covid-19 Response Team of UMM Hospital, Thursday (19/03/2020).

The Covid-19 Call Center of RSU UMM has two information channels, namely the Call Center and Message Delivery, either via WA (WhatsApp) or via regular mobile phones. The public can choose one of the channels that have been provided.

The public can access the RSU UMM Covid-19 Call Center service at three numbers, namely at 0821-3252-1661, 0821-3252-1663, 0821-3252-1664. The RSU UMM Covid-19 Call Center service currently operates from Monday-Sunday at service hours of 09.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.

"The public can ask for the latest information on the spread of Covid-19, and also about their condition by asking things that include symptoms and risk factors," said Dr. Thontowi.

Questions that can be asked to conduct online screening by telephone or WA (WhatsApp), can be about the symptoms experienced. Such as cough, runny nose, sore throat, headache, fever above 38°, to coming from or traveling to areas affected either in Indonesia or abroad. "So, people don't need to panic and worry. By contacting the RSU UMM Covid-19 Call Center service, your concerns will be answered," added dr. Thontowi.

In addition to providing a Call Center, RSU UMM also provides online early detection of Covid-19 via the domain address hospital.umm.ac.id/covid/. This online early detection can be utilized by the general public.

Users only need to answer a few questions and the answers will be analyzed online to predict the status including the category of healthy/free of Covid-19, ODP (People Under Monitoring) or PDP (Patients Under Surveillance). Only launched two days ago, since March 18, 2020, this online early detection of Covid-19 has been accessed more than 50 thousand times (update March 19, 2020). (umm/say/yon)
