Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – As an effort to prevent the spread Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) in Malang City, since three days ago under the command of the Malang City Forkopimda, they have been conducting a clean-up of business premises that are still operating after 20.00 WIB and causing crowds.
In addition to appealing to close their businesses after 20.00 WIB, officers from the Malang City Police, TNI and also the Malang City Satpol PP also dispersed crowds in places such as cafes, restaurants and internet cafes, because they can trigger and accelerate the spread of the virus.
Photographed in a joint operation, Thursday (26/03/2020), a number of business managers ignored the warning and were found to still be open past 20.00 WIB. From this joint operation, the police finally took firm action by bringing the business owners or managers and visitors to the Malang City Police Headquarters.
They were asked for information and required to make a statement not to carry out activities after 20.00 WIB, because these activities trigger crowds which have an impact on the spread of Covid-19.
Malang City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Pol. Leonardus Simarmata said that what was done was based on the Government's instructions, the Chief of Police's Circular and the Malang Mayor's Circular. He emphasized that there was no longer any reason for the public not to know about this as conveyed by business managers, because the socialization had been carried out for a long time and repeatedly so that the authorities took action against the public and business managers who ignored the appeal.
"We raise the level of our activities a little, namely we secure, be it owner or the owner or person in charge, including visitors. We secure it with the aim of taking information and then we make a statement," he added.
In an effort to break the transmission of Covid-19, the Police Chief said that the Malang City Forkopimda together with cross-sector ranks will continue to intensify control like this. After this initial action, if there are still those who ignore it, a minor criminal act or misdemeanor will be carried out up to the revocation of the business. (say/yon)
