(malangkota.go.id) – Arema FC's concern in tackling Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) in the Malang Raya area received appreciation from the Malang City Police Chief, Dandim 0833 and the Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD who came directly to the Arema FC Office at the 'Lion's Den' Jalan Mayjen Pandjaitan number 42, Friday (24/4/2020).
Present during the visit were the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD I Made Rian Diana Kartika, the Malang City Police Chief Senior Commissioner Pol. Dr. Leonardus Harapantua Simarmata Permata, S.Sos, S.IK, MH, and the Commander of the 0833 Malang City Military District Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Tomny Anderson.
The three figures in Malang City were welcomed by Arema FC General Manager, Ruddy Widodo, Arema FC International Relations Fuad Ardiansyah, Arema FC founder Ovan Tobing and Arema FC Media Officer, Sudarmaji.
The chairman of the Malang City DPRD, I Made Rian Diana Kartika expressed his praise for Arema FC who were considered consistent and solid in implementing the slogan Salam Satu Jiwa. "Thank God Arema is fine. We are very grateful to Arema FC who actually provide assistance to the community," said the man from Bali.
In line with I Made Rian Diana Kartika, Malang City Police Chief Sr. Comr. Pol. Dr. Leonardus Harapantua also expressed his gratitude for Arema FC's support for the community and medical personnel in fighting Covid-19. "We really appreciate this, Arema FC's steps with its initiative in providing assistance must be an example," he said.
Meanwhile, Dandim 0833 Lt. Col. Inf. Tomny Anderson revealed that in a situation like this everyone must support each other. "In a situation like this we must support each other. What Arema FC has done must be appreciated, the most important thing is that we must be able to maintain solidarity," he explained.
Arema FC itself admitted that it is currently very affected by the current conditions. The impact of Covid-19 which caused the competition to be stopped brought its own losses to the club. "For Arema FC and other clubs this is a very difficult situation. But we must try to survive," said Arema FC General Manager, Ruddy Widodo.
During the visit, Arema FC also provided support to the three institutions in the form of faceshield which is intended for medical personnel on duty and dates. Arema FC has been actively involved during the Covid-19 disaster response period, starting from holding disinfectant spraying to raising the Arema FC Bhakti movement for Arek Malang. Arema FC CEO, Ir. R. Agoes Soerjanto is also a pioneer in the Malang United Against Corona (MBLC) movement. (say/yon)
