Upon arrival at the location, the Mayor of Malang and his staff immediately greeted traders around the cigarette factory and appealed to traders to follow the established health protocols.

Sutiaji then greeted all employees who were doing their jobs at that time by providing motivation to stay enthusiastic and alert to the spread of the corona virus.

"I hope all workers will follow the existing health protocols with discipline. No less important is the awareness to be honest with yourself if you are sick or have just traveled to another area exposed to the virus, so that with this awareness, workers can carry out self-quarantine," he said.

The Mayor of Malang also emphasized that workers continue to maintain their immunity by consuming nutritious food and taking vitamins. "Moreover, the factory has prepared various facilities," he added.

"We made this visit to prevent the emergence of new clusters in Malang City like in Surabaya City. For that, we also brought 22 packages of equipment rapid testing to be used in sampling to the management and workers so that they can find out the current situation quickly. Thank God, all the results were non-reactive or negative," Sutiaji told the media crew.

In the future, Sutiaji said that his party would appeal to the management of PT. HM Sampoerna to be able to carry out rapid testing on 2.908 workers at the factory.

"So far, we have conveyed our positive appreciation to PT. HM Sampoerna for its role in helping the Malang City Government in overcoming the spread of the Covid-19 virus as well as its efforts to implement health protocols in the factory environment," concluded Sutiaji. (Ts/yon)
