Lieutenant Colonel. Inf. Dr. Drs. Abdul Rahman, M.Si as the head of the event organizers revealed that this event is a form of KKSS social service as a form of concern for the people of South Sulawesi in foreign lands to help others.

"Including in Malang Raya which is currently also experiencing the Covid 19 pandemic disaster. The assistance we provide is expected to be able to ease the burden experienced by the community," he hoped.

Rahman added, for the distribution of aid at the KKSS Malang Raya Post, this has been done for the fourth time. Previously, aid was distributed in the Malang Regency area, Mount Bromo and also to residents in the Sendang Biru coastal area.

"This activity is a joint effort to share and care for others who are still in need," explained Rahman.

Rahman said, since it was rolled out some time ago, there have been 2.600 basic food packages that have been distributed to the community in Malang Raya. This assistance will continue because until now assistance from KKSS is still flowing.

"This assistance is not the last, we will continue to deliver assistance. Because there are still many people who trust us to distribute assistance," he added.

Likewise, Malang City Prosecutor Andi Darmawangsa acknowledged that social activities like this are very good for fostering togetherness. Especially for the people of South Sulawesi who have always been full of family.

"As migrants, we have been very well received in Malang. It is fitting that in a situation like this we share with each other to together ignite togetherness and love for Indonesia," said Andi. (cah/yon)
