Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – On the first day of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) trial, the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji and his staff gathered sub-district heads, village heads, RT and RW heads in the Sukun District area, Thursday night (15/05/2020) at the Mulyorejo Village office, Sukun District. In this socialization, the Mayor of Malang was also accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Malang and the Regional Secretary of Malang City.

The purpose of socializing the implementation of PSBB in Malang City is so that when PSBB has been effectively implemented since May 17, 2020, there will be no pros and cons from the community.
During the three-day PSBB trial, similar socialization will follow in four other sub-districts. Some of the rules that residents must obey during PSBB include always wearing a mask if they have to do activities outside the home, avoiding all activities or crowds of more than 20 people and always maintaining distance in any condition.
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that from various efforts, the transmission of Covid-19 can be suppressed as optimally as possible. If the community is orderly and follows all health protocols, then efforts to suppress the spread of this virus will also be maximized. Likewise, the implementation of PSBB will run well, which is the main option in order to break the chain of the virus outbreak.
When the PSBB is effectively implemented, residents should follow government regulations, such as carrying out all activities at home and for affected residents, there is no need to worry because there is already concrete data to receive aid distribution. "The success or failure of the PSBB which is also to suppress the spread of Covid-19 is absolutely in the hands of the community," said Sutiaji.
The same thing was conveyed by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko. According to him, no matter how good the government program is, if it is not supported by the people, it will be in vain and will not work well.
"If the name PSBB is the same as the Perwal, and the Perwal has an action nature, action. During the PSBB later, if for example there are residents who do not wear masks, on the first, second, third day they may still be reminded or reprimanded. But when it's time to take action, they must follow the procedural steps, we will still take action and one of them is the KTP that must be taken and it could also be rapid testing," added the man who is familiarly called Bung Edi.
