Traders at Bunul Market and Pasar Besar Undergo Rapid Tests

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Although the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) have been effectively implemented in Malang City, activities in traditional markets selling basic necessities continue to run while still having to follow health protocols. Such as the use of masks for traders and buyers, getting used to washing hands, and maintaining a safe distance when interacting.

Rapid test

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji after reviewing a number of traditional markets in Malang City to ensure that traders and buyers follow and implement health protocols, Monday (18/05/2020) revealed that so far the implementation of selling with an odd-even stall number system has been obeyed by traders. Likewise with the use of masks and always washing hands.

"However, traders must undergo rapid testing to detect the spread of Covid-19 which aims to stop its transmission. There were two traders whose body temperature reached 38 degrees Celsius and was reactive, but after the second test was carried out it was only 36,5 and non-reactive," explained Sutiaji.

From rapid testing which was held randomly at Bunul Market and Pasar Besar, the results were all non-reactive. However, Sutiaji appealed to traders to continue to follow health protocols so as not to be exposed to the deadly virus.

With this condition, it will provide comfort and peace for all parties. Residents who come to the market will feel calm, so that traders will not experience a large decline in turnover, especially when the odd-even system is implemented.

Market review and rapid testing like this, said Sutiaji, it will be carried out routinely so that the chain of transmission and spread of Covid-19 can be suppressed as much as possible and the market as a supporter of the people's economy remains safe and comfortable.

When visiting and greeting traders at Pasar Besar, Sutiaji still found one or two people who were wearing their masks around their necks, so he immediately reminded them to use them properly. On this occasion, hundreds of masks and hand sanitizers were also distributed to traders and market visitors. (say/yon)
