Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy assessed that the spirit of mutual cooperation demonstrated by the KTM residents of Purwantoro Village reflected efforts in carrying out the national mental revolution movement.

"Earlier I saw here there was mlijo free or free market. Anyone in need can get rice here, those who are able can also donate. I think this is a form of mental revolution that we can use as an example," he said after reviewing the New Normal Life period at KTM after the easing of PSBB by the East Java Provincial Government.

"The existence of KTM RW 5, Purwantoro Village, which has prepared an isolation house for ODP/PDP for people suspected of being infected with Covid-19 is appropriate," said Minister Muhadjir in appreciation, Wednesday (3/6).

This resilient village also has a trained team for handling Covid-19 bodies. Muhadjir witnessed a demonstration of handling Covid-19 bodies. The body is first put in plastic from the head, then shrouded, and covered in plastic again. Finally, if there is no coffin, it is put in a body bag before being buried. In the demonstration, the body is replaced with a human-sized doll. The village itself is free of Covid-19, but is ready in case of an emergency.

On this occasion, Muhadjir also witnessed firsthand how residents of RW 5 utilized every potential to be utilized properly, including utilizing the abundant water in the village area for cultivating catfish, tilapia and koi fish.

Not only raising them, the villagers have also processed catfish into foods that have high selling value. Among them are made into meatballs, catfish sticks and also catfish sempol which has now been developed into a community business. (cah/yon)
