Suprapto explained, the guidelines New Normal refers to the Decree of the Minister of Health No. HK.01.07/Menkes/328/2020 concerning Guidelines for Prevention and Control of Covid-19 in Office and Industrial Workplaces in Supporting Business Continuity in Pandemic Situations.
The guidelines, he said, will be applied when the Regular Long Distance Train resumes operations. Where in the PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya area there are 41 Regular Long Distance Train trips every day which until now are still experiencing cancellations of their trip operations.

Suprapto further said, if the passenger's condition requires immediate treatment, we will contact a doctor or health officer at the nearest station that has a health post facility.
To ensure cleanliness during the trip, officers routinely clean objects that are often touched by hands every 30 minutes in turns. Objects such as door handles, door locks, water taps, toilet flush buttons, armrests, folding tables, and others are cleaned using a cleaner containing disinfectant.
Suprapto added, in serving customers at New Normal, officer frontliners KAI that has the potential for close contact with passengers is equipped with PPE in the form of masks, gloves, and faceshield. The officers include counter officers, customer service, officer boarding, conductor, Polsuska, train attendants, and cleaners on the train.
Officers, he said, are also equipped with PPE to provide a sense of security to customers being served.
