Aloevera Village, Thematic Village Destination in Ciptomulyo Area

Most recently, there is a thematic village destination named Kampung Aloevera in Ciptomulyo Village, Sukun District, Malang City. Unlike the previous villages, Kampung Aloevera carries the potential of Ciptomulyo Village, namely aloe vera. In it, there will be many processed food products or special drinks made from aloe vera. In addition, aloe vera-themed tourist icons will be added.

This program was initiated by Pertamina Fuel Terminal Malang through its CSR program in collaboration with the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in this case UMM Communication Science lecturers, Novin Farid Styo Wibowo, M.Si and Rahadi, M.Si as program mentors.

“Previously, in 2018, we conducted research social mapping (social mapping_ed) about the socio-economic community in Ciptomulyo. From the results of the research, the potential was then seen. Well, one of the potentials is aloe vera which can be developed," said Novin, Friday (05/06/2020).

To welcome all production activities in the area, Pertamina Fuel Terminal Malang provides assistance in the form of production equipment. This equipment is in the form of an oven machine and also supporting equipment to increase the production of aloevera's specialty food and beverage businesses.

Fuel Terminal Manager Pertamina Malang, Ahmad Zaeni said that this production equipment assistance is expected to support residents in the area in producing food and beverages optimally.

"The hope is that with the help of this production equipment it can be used as trigger which encourages the growth of productive and independent community groups in facing uncertain situations during and after Covid-19," explained Ahmad Zaeni.

In addition to the provision of production equipment assistance which was carried out on Thursday (4/6/2020), production training was also carried out. rebranding products, and online marketing to residents in the Ciptomulyo area to improve product quality and quantity.

With this assistance, said the Head of Ciptomulyo Village, Hari Dwi Yunianto, it is able to improve the economy of the community in the Ciptomulyo Village area. During the Covid-19 pandemic, residents who run production are also equipped with health protocol equipment. Such as the use of masks, face shields, and gloves. "This is a form so that all products, both food and drinks produced, are safe and hygienic," said Hari Dwi.

In the near future, his party will also prepare another program, namely training. urban farming on a narrow land for aloe vera and medicinal plants. Then, continued with the competition program between RW for the Processing of Sentra Parks with the theme of Aloe vera to create an icon of Ciptomulyo Village as Aloe vera Village.

Not only that, in order to support the Resilient Village program in Malang City, Pertamina together with UMM also conducted Covid-19 Task Force Volunteer Training, so that efforts to combat this prolonged outbreak are even more optimal. (say/yon)
