Malang, InfoPublik – Around 2.500 Malang City residents have started receiving the second phase of Cash Social Assistance (BST) from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs which was distributed in June 2020. The distribution of the assistance was through the sub-district office and for residents who could not attend the distribution schedule, they could go directly to the Malang Main Post Office. Similar to the first phase of distribution last May, every resident affected by the COVID-19 outbreak received cash assistance of Rp600.000.

Secretary of the Malang City Saber Pungli Team Prevention Working Group, Dra. Yatmiati, MM directly monitored the distribution of the second phase of BST from the Ministry of Social Affairs

In this regard, so that the aid is right on target and there is no duplicate data that was found in the first phase of BST distribution, the Malang City Saber Pungli Team conducted monitoring and direct checks at the sub-district office. As on Tuesday (09/06/2020), the Secretary of the Malang City Saber Pungli Team Prevention Working Group, Dra. Yatmiati, MM came to the location during the distribution of aid at the Buring and Cemorokandang Sub-district Offices.

According to the woman in the hijab, although so far there have been no violations or irregularities in the distribution of this BST. However, her party is more on anticipatory and preventive measures. "We have verified the data both before and after the distribution of this assistance. So it can be ensured that for the second and even the third BST distribution there will be no errors in any way," added Yatmiati.

However, if there are any findings, he explained, they will be processed further, especially if there are errors in the data inputted by the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). "According to PP. No. 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline, the saber pungli team will hand it over entirely to the relevant agency. However, we have previously provided direction and appeals to ASN regarding the data collection and distribution of this BST. So that various errors can be minimized and even prevented," said Yatmiati.

To verify and correct data from the first phase of BST distribution, he continued, duplicate data was found and his party immediately crossed it out. So in the second and third phases of distribution later, it can be ensured that the assistance will be right on target. This is also done so that there is equality and justice for residents who are truly affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

In addition to ensuring that aid is distributed on target and there is no duplicate data, the Saber Pungli team also enforces health protocols in every sub-district office. Thus, the transmission of COVID-19 can be prevented. Such as checking body temperature, washing hands, using hand sanitizers, using masks, and maintaining a minimum distance of one meter.

"Don't let it happen that during the distribution of this aid there are people who transmit the virus, where this could happen with the category of People Without Symptoms (OTG) who are infected with COVID-19," concluded Yatmiati. (say/ram/yon)
