Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko pumped up the spirit and gave a lot of motivation to the young people while attending the National Cultural Parade event 'One Soul with Bung Karno' at the KNPI Building Jl. Kawi Malang City, Wednesday night (30/06/2020).
According to him, as young people must be enthusiastic, advanced in thinking, and have a strong character. "The young generation as future leaders of the nation should not lose their color, but rather must be able to color every joint of national and state life with something better," explained the bespectacled man.
The man who is familiarly called Bung Edi added that strong will and great strength are one of our ancestral legacies. "Especially from our Proclaimer, Ir. Soekarno. And for now it is just a matter of how we crystallize it in our daily lives," he explained.
"The future of the nation is at stake on the shoulders of the youth. Our challenge going forward is how we prepare because the progress of the times is almost unstoppable. Self-actualization, ideas and opinions must continue to be strengthened. Those who are able to adapt and master technology are the ones who will exist," added Bung Edi.
He further said that the participation and creative ideas of young people will always be awaited and realized in real life. Not only for the progress of Malang City as a pentahelic manifestation, but also for the Indonesian nation in the future. "Young people must be at the forefront in driving change towards a better direction for this nation," said Bung Edi.
Meanwhile, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic like now, Bung Edi invites young people not to give up and continue to work. "Let's make this epidemic a means to unite and strengthen each other. We should not just stay silent and do not fold our arms. Make this moment an opportunity to show the quality and quality of young people," he invited.
Meanwhile, the Head of GMNI Malang, Kaitanus Angwarmas invited all members of other youth organizations, such as HMI, KNPI, KAMMI, and PMII to unite in guarding the democracy of this nation. According to him, youth must not be weak in any condition. The same thing was also conveyed by the Secretary General of DPP GMNI, M Ageng Dendy who invited to guard Pancasila until the end of life.
