Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – When me-launching Resilient School of SMA Negeri 2 Malang, Monday (13/7/2020), the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji took the time to visit the UKS (School Health Unit) room. The representative room and already has its own doctor on duty, adds more value to the school with the nickname Smanda Malang as a Covid-19 Resilient School.

One corner that caught the attention of the Mayor of Malang was the Toga (family medicinal plants) Corner. A neatly arranged corner, with a collection of herbal potions displayed in a cupboard.
"This is good and must be developed. Not only as a literacy corner that complements the existence of UKS, but I ask that it be made a (local) learning curriculum. Because from several studies, these spices can be an alternative to ward off the corona virus, such as ginger, lemongrass and eucalyptus," explained Sutiaji to the Principal of SMAN 2 Hariyanto who was accompanied by the UKS instructors.
"I ask that this be taught, educated and socialized massively. Moreover, in the concept of Resilient Schools, there is also healthy resilience which can also be developed through the movement of cultivating herbal plants in the school environment," he added.
The Principal of Smanda Malang, Hariyanto, responded enthusiastically and committed to realizing what the Mayor of Malang expected. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Smanda Alumni, Joko Wiyono also enthusiastically welcomed the movement to cultivate and love herbal consumption. "We will help with socialization, at least through the alumni community," said the alumni of the class of '83. (public relations/yon)
