Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – For the umpteenth time, the Malang City Government has received assistance in the form of Personal Protective Equipment (APD) from a third party, namely from the Kawan Lama Foundation. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji symbolically received the distribution of aid in the lobby of Malang City Hall, Tuesday (28/07/2020).

The distribution of PPE assistance is in the form of medical masks, hand sanitizers, hazmat suits, gloves and protective glasses. The Mayor of Malang said that his party was very grateful for the distribution of this PPE assistance and would then be handed over to parties who really need it, such as private hospitals, type B hospitals and health centers in Malang City.
Some of these places, said the bespectacled man, do indeed still need assistance with PPE and have previously submitted to the Malang City Government. "Several hospitals outside have also submitted assistance to us, and we are currently still evaluating. We will prioritize those that are urgent, so that services in hospitals and health centers are even more optimal," he added.
"In addition to third parties like this, the Malang City Government continues to provide PPE assistance to a number of hospitals treating positive Covid-19 patients. Thus, patients can be served well, and the risk of exposure to medical personnel can also be minimized as optimally as possible," said Sutiaji.
In addition, according to him, the Malang City Government also provides ventilators that are currently at the Malang City Government Hospital. "With the provision of a number of PPE and the distribution of assistance like this, it is hoped that Covid-19 cases in Malang City can continue to be suppressed," he said.
The same thing was also conveyed by the representative of the Kawan Lama Foundation, Dedy Tjahyono, during the handover of aid. According to him, because until now the Covid-19 outbreak has not ended, PPE is very much needed by hospitals and health centers. "With our participation, hopefully it will be useful and can reduce the number of Covid-19 cases in Malang City," he explained. (say/yon)
