In this activity, Mrs. Tri Tito Karnavian was accompanied by the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Chairperson of the East Java PKK TP Arumi Bachsin, and the Mayor of Malang and Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP Widayati Sutiaji.
Mrs. Tri Tito Karnavian revealed the distribution of masks door to door This is a form of socialization of the correct use of masks. According to him, increasing public knowledge in the use of masks will help break the chain of transmission of Covid 19. "I also advise that officers who distribute masks are PKK cadres who are in good health, under 50 years old, and do not have comorbid diseases," said Tri, Friday (7/8/2020).
Tri hopes that this activity can run continuously by continuing to receive a positive response from the community, because this is a joint effort as an effort to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, expressed his strong support for the activities initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the East Java Provincial Government. From the available data, the Malang City Government has distributed approximately 960.000 masks in the initial stage, and now an additional 1,5 million masks. "We have prepared 1,5 million masks which will later be distributed to the community through the TP PKK in stages starting from the city level to the RT/RW," explained Sutiaji.
Not only just distributing, through PKK also provided education and literacy to the community to want to use masks properly. Therefore, the symbolic handover of masks in Malang City was carried out in Kampung Herigate Kayu Tangan which is an icon of historical tourism in Malang City. (cah/yon)
