Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Until now, around 19 medical personnel have died while handling Covid-87 and that number continues to grow. It is undeniable that these medical personnel are at the forefront of fighting Covid-19 by handling positive patients in hospitals. Not only time and energy, lives are also at stake so it is not excessive if this gets appreciation from various parties.

Indonesian Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto symbolically handed over compensation to the heirs of the fallen health workers.

These are some of the things conveyed by the Indonesian Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto, Friday (07/08/2020) in the hall of the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health, Malang campus after presenting awards and condolences/death benefits to health workers who died while treating Covid-19 patients.

On this occasion, as many as 22 family representatives or heirs each received compensation of Rp300.000.000. In addition, a number of medical personnel who are still actively on duty also received incentives.

The medical personnel who received the condolence and incentives were medical personnel who worked in several Covid-19 referral hospitals in several areas in East Java. Minister Terawan said that this appreciation was a form of government appreciation for medical personnel in fighting the Covid-19 outbreak. The reason is, if medical personnel did not work hard, the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients would not be as high as it is now.

Such as being disciplined in using masks and living a healthy lifestyle, so that cases of residents who become victims of this virus do not continue to increase. The rest will follow soon after all the requirements are met. Such as positive swab test results, assignment letters, family certificates and death certificates. (say/yon)
