Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Widayati Sutiaji, on this occasion participated in the launch of the Indonesian Mask Movement online from the building Ngalam Command Center (NCC) Malang City Hall. After the virtual release of the Gebrak Masker Team throughout Indonesia by the General Chairperson of the Central TP PKK, the Chairperson of the Malang City TP PKK together with related staff distributed masks and conducted socialization to residents in Kampung Tridi.
Several houses of residents were also affixed with stickers containing an invitation for people to always wear masks, even in the village or housing environment, to suppress the transmission of Covid-19. "We are not only providing masks to the community but also providing education and conveying the importance of wearing masks in the midst of an outbreak like today," he added.
This is in accordance with what was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the Central PKK TP, that members of the PKK TP in the regions should not only give or distribute masks, but also provide education. The reason is, distributing is easy, but how to discipline the community is sometimes difficult.
Therefore, his party will continue to campaign, not only in the ranks of TP PKK members but also in the family environment to socialize the use of masks. "In 57 sub-districts in Malang City, some time ago we have provided 57 thousand masks and education related to mask discipline continues to be intensified," he said.
"We will also synergize with the Malang City Government in implementing strict health protocols, especially in the use of masks. Later, it is possible that there will be sanctions for undisciplined citizens, because we are not playing around in breaking the chain of transmission of this virus," concluded Widayati. (say/yon)
