Sutiaji, expressed his gratitude to the management of the Malang City Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB) for the 2015-2020 period for having helped the Malang City Government in realizing interfaith harmony. Of all that, Malang City is the best in East Java in realizing this.
He conveyed several things after inaugurating the management of the Malang City FKUB for the 2020-2025 period in the Malang City Hall Meeting Room, Friday (04/09/2020). "So far, the FKUB has initiated various interests into one main idea and one vision in realizing harmony between religious communities," he added.
After the inauguration of the new management, the Mayor of Malang hopes that the existing problems will not increase but on the contrary. Although later on the journey there will certainly be sharp stones, but they should be minimized. "Therefore, maintain deliberation in solving every problem and come up with diamond ideas or concepts," he said.
The predicate of religious harmony in Malang City is number one in East Java, said Sutiaji because in this City of Education there are almost no major conflicts between religious communities. Therefore, religion must return to its true position, namely as a guide and guidance for living in peace. Do not make religion just to gain personal gain," he said.
According to the arrangement of the letters, in FKUB, there is no Forum which means there is an inauguration/confirmation and there is harmony in congregation. In it there are many people and from those people, actions are more valuable than words. Harmony can be interpreted as harmony in general and will not be realized if it is based on lust and/or personal interests.
Meanwhile, from the word Umat, of course every individual has a desire. So, throw away the sectoral ego of each individual and conscience must be put forward in every condition. The word Religious can be interpreted as a person's belief. "Don't make people who are already religious religious. But how can people who are already religious become stronger and believe in what is the guidance of their life," explained Sutiaji.
"A religious person is a person who is moral and not chaotic in body and soul. So far, with the existence of FKUB and its big role, it is hoped that it can solve every problem in every religious adherent.
