Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji gave an explanation during the coordination meeting

"One child is allocated 35 gigabytes per month from elementary school to high school," he said in a coordination meeting held in the Malang Mayor's Meeting Room, Thursday (3/9/2020). This coordination meeting was held a day after the coordination meeting on learning policies during the pandemic with the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Anwar Makarim and the Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian.

"In the coordination meeting with the SKB (Joint Decree) the four ministers stated that we were asked by the center to record student numbers," added Sutiaji.

This internet quota subsidy will last for four months from September-December 2020. The internet quota assistance from the Malang City Education Office must complete the student's cellphone number through the Dapodik application no later than September 9.

Face-to-face learning in schools is allowed for the Green Zone and Yellow Zone. Today's Covid-19 Zoning data update shows that Malang City is in the red zone. Areas in the orange and red zones are still prohibited from conducting face-to-face learning. Schools in these zones continue to study from home.

"In the near future, I will invite providers. Because there is an offer of ten rupiah for 10 giga per month. But one person is only allotted 10. Later we will invite all if possible from other providers," said the Mayor of Malang. (NH/EM/yon)
