
Madyopuro Terminal in Malang City, which is a type C terminal, is one of the participants competing with terminals in several regencies/cities in East Java such as Blitar, Ngawi and Situbondo. The criteria for assessment include the implementation of health protocols, checking the body temperature of officers and drivers, the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure such as health rooms, smoking areas and breastfeeding rooms are also assessment points.
The head of the Healthy Terminal Competition jury team, Mulia Utama Putra Alam Siregar, Tuesday (22/09/2020) while conducting field verification at the Madyopuro Terminal revealed that holding this competition will also motivate each region to continue to innovate in making various improvements in the terminal area. "This is also an effort to break the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus and will provide comfort for the community while in the terminal," he explained.
Mulia Putra who is also the Head Land Transportation Management Center (BPTD) Region XI of East Java Province advised that the terminal can also function as a service center for the community.
Therefore, because it is currently a pandemic, the implementation of health protocols must be carried out strictly and anyone who violates must receive strict sanctions according to applicable regulations. Regarding the assessment and opportunities in this competition, Mulia said that the Madyopuro Terminal has a great chance of qualifying for the national level.
Similarly, Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that his party is optimistic that they will be able to advance to the national level to represent East Java. "From this field verification, whatever corrections or shortcomings from the jury team, we will definitely fulfill them as soon as possible and as well as possible," he said.
