Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – To encourage children to be honest from an early age, a group of students from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) who are participating in the Community Service by Students (PMM) program recently inaugurated the KPK Corner in the Tanjungrejo area, Sukun District, Malang City, precisely at the Kakek Aboe Learning House. This program is a collaboration with the Directorate of Public Services of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The purpose of the KPK Corner is to introduce honest behavior from an early age through reading books such as fairy tales that the KPK directly provides to children at the Kakek Aboe Learning House. This program is in line with the main program of UMM PPM students, namely literacy. They introduce literacy culture through reading books. Five members of UMM PMM began their program by inviting children to make and decorate the KPK Corner.
"This KPK Corner was created to educate and invite children at the Kakek Aboe Learning House to love books first. The books available are very diverse, ranging from encyclopedias, natural sciences, social sciences, religion, fairy tales, mathematics, and so on," explained a student of the UMM Faculty of Psychology who is a member of PMM UMM 16, Addini Fahira when interviewed, Saturday (26/09/2020).

"We invite the children there to create and decorate the KPK Corner. Not only that, this activity also aims to train children's discipline when after taking a book to read, then to put the book back in its original place," said Addini.
Ratemat Aboe as the owner of Rumah Belajar Kakek Aboe that KPK Corner also hopes that his learning house can increase the children's enthusiasm to continue learning.
