Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji led the morning assembly of employees in the Malang City Government environment which was held in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (28/9/2020).
During the morning assembly, the Mayor of Malang also presented awards to the winners of the Vlog Competition and the Mpu Purwa Museum Quiz Competition organized by the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud).
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji appreciated the competition held by the Malang City Education and Culture Office because it could develop potential and abilities. "It is necessary reward so that children in Malang City are more enthusiastic about achieving achievements. Competitions like this will hone children's abilities in developing themselves," explained Sutiaji, Monday (28/9/2020).
Especially for various materials related to history, according to him, it is very important for children to learn about history from an early age so that in the future they will become a superior generation who will never forget where they came from.
He added that learning history is very important so that we can preserve all forms of culture owned by the Indonesian nation. Because currently the invasion of foreign cultural influences that enter is very vulnerable to eroding the roots of the nation's extraordinary culture.
That is why the Mayor of Malang really appreciates the holding of the competition at the Mpu Purwa Museum because this museum contains many historical collections which can be used as a means of learning about history.
"There are so many relics in the Mpu Purwa Museum that are extraordinary. It must continue to be explored so that more knowledge can be obtained by children from an early age," Sutiaji hoped. (cah/yon)
