Mayor of Malang Virtual Presentation of Malang Towards Smart City

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji virtually gave a presentation during the 2020 Smart City Movement Assessment at Ngalam Command Center (NCC) Malang City Hall, Friday (2/10).

In this presentation, the Mayor of Malang showed in detail the readiness of Malang City towards... smart city to the assessment team smart city from BPPT Andrari Grahitatandaru, expert from ITB Wikan Danar Sunindyo and also from the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information.

The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, said that in order to move towards smart city, Malang City continues to make various improvements in various fields, especially in the field of human resources which is the key to being able to immediately realize smart city in Malang City.

"Malang City has 58 employees with ICT backgrounds. Malang City also has 562 employees with a Masters degree or above. This is an extraordinary capital," he explained, Friday (2/2).

Some of these things are still supported by various advantages in Malang City, including the abundance of talents in communities, the number of universities, the creative economy sector, especially the application and game sub-sectors that continue to grow in Malang City, to the existence of mayoral regulations that support activities.

Malang City has also prepared various steps to ensure that smart city soon to become a reality. Where 2020 was programmed for strengthening regulations and laying the foundation for policy guidance, 2021 integration pilot project, 2022 optimal integration, 2023 open data big data analysis and in 2024 the implementation of the system smart city.
