Malang City Government Again Wins WTP Opinion

Surabaya (malangkota.go.id) – For the ninth consecutive time, the Malang City Government received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) for the Regional Government Financial Report (LKPD) for the 2019 Fiscal Year.

"This is the fruit of synergy between the Malang City Government and the Malang City DPRD, supported by collaborative work with all elements of development in Malang City," said the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji after receiving the charter and plaque of the Unqualified Opinion (WTP) award from the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

The award was presented by the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa as a representative of the central government in conjunction with the Coordination Meeting on Order and Security in the East Java Province at Grand City Surabaya, Monday (19/10/2020).

Furthermore, the Mayor of Malang emphasized that order and accuracy in the Regional Government Financial Reports must also be continuously strengthened by... impact and benefits from each activity program executed by each regional apparatus.

Accountability and transparency of regional finances, the Governor of East Java advised to continue to be strengthened. "More so in the phase emergency and urgency like now (during the Covid-19 pandemic_ed)," said the Governor of East Java to the Mayor of Malang and the Regents throughout East Java.

The Coordination Meeting on Order and Security in the East Java Province, moderated by the Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Dardak, presented speakers such as the East Java Police Chief, the Head of the East Java KPU, the Head of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office, the Head of the East Java DPRD, the Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Command and the Commander of the Maritime Command. This Coordination Meeting was held in order to realize the 2020 Simultaneous Regional Elections in the East Java Region that were Orderly, Safe, and Smooth in the Midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Meanwhile, East Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran emphasized health protocols in securing the 2020 Pilkada. "Securing the Pilkada in East Java must prioritize the safety of lives by complying with health protocols. Because, currently it is still the Covid-19 pandemic," he said.

The Regional Police Chief also mentioned that the demonstration rejecting the Omnibus Law on Job Creation that will be held tomorrow will take place without anarchy. "If they still want to demonstrate in an orderly manner, we will serve them. If they are anarchic, we will definitely take action, and for this time there is no postponement. Whether they are students or workers, if they cause damage, I will order them to be locked up," said the Regional Police Chief. (EM/yon)
