Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The Kamulyan Festival of 1000 Mask Village in Desaku Menanti Village, Tlogowaru, Malang City, which was held on Saturday (24/10/2020) was held lively. Various traditional art attractions can be witnessed in the village located on the eastern tip of Malang City.

Head of the Communication Forum (Forkom) of the Malang City Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), Isa Wahyudi, said that this festival was held in the hope that tourism in Malang City could be revived and bring many blessings.
'Of course, by continuing to comply with health protocols. We hope that this activity can be a good start to rebuild tourism in Malang City since the Covid-19 pandemic," said the man who is usually called Ki Demang, Saturday (24/10/2020).
On this occasion, Ki Demang also expressed his great pride in the existence of Kampung Topeng Malang in Tlogowaru. This is because this place was the first to take the mask icon as a mainstay of tourism on the outskirts of the city. "Kampung Topeng is the village that is most daring in raising the Malang mask icon as a mainstay for developing tourism," he added.
He said that with the Kamulyan Festival, it is a sign that tourism visits to the Tlogowaru Mask Tourism Village have been reopened and hopefully the wheels of life in the Mask Village can grow and develop. (cah/yon)
