Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The 2020 Malang City Karang Werdha Activity Facilitation was held in the hall of the former Malang City Social Service (Dinsos) Jl. Sulfat No.12 Malang, Tuesday (3/11/2020). In the activity attended and opened by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, the inauguration of the Management of the Malang City Karang Werdha Communication Forum for the 2020-2024 Service Period was also carried out.
The man who is familiarly called Bung Edi invited all sub-districts in Malang City to provide space for the elderly so that the experiences and knowledge they have can be shared with the younger generation.
"The elderly need a happy heart, therefore they must be given a place, including a place to socialize so that they can carry out activities well," explained Bung Edi, Tuesday (3/11/2020).
Various activities such as elderly gymnastics and elderly gatherings are moments that are highly anticipated by the elderly. That is why Bung Edi said that the government must be present, the community must support so that all elderly in Malang City can be happy. "Gatherings, joint gymnastics activities for the elderly are medicine, because they can meet people of the same age," he added.
Creating an elderly-friendly space in Malang City has also been done, including by presenting an elderly-friendly park in the sub-district area, such as the Indragiri Park in Purwantoro Sub-district. (cah/yon)
