On the other hand, innovation will also help grow the community's economy, such as the presence of the health drink or multivitamin PRO EM-1 which was inaugurated by the Head of BPOM in Malang, Thursday (05/11/2020).

The increasing number of health food and beverage products, especially those made from herbs or natural ingredients, has received appreciation and continues to be encouraged by the government, especially the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). This is because it is currently one of the needs of the community to maintain and improve a person's immune system.

Like the health drink or multivitamin PRO EM-1 produced by PT AMA and inaugurated by the Head of BPOM, Penny Kusumastuti Lukito, Thursday (05/11/2020). According to her, the presence of products like this will balance the continued emergence of chemical products so that BPOM will continue to help and assist in their development and various innovations.

The woman in hijab added that in addition to being needed by the community with the increasing emergence of health food and beverage products or innovations, it will also grow the economy and open up new jobs. "On the other hand, it will automatically increase the country's foreign exchange so that various parties will continue to be encouraged and spurred and of course must involve various parties, especially academics," she added.

"So BPOM and the Government in this case are very supportive of the development of natural products. This is part of natural products to balance chemical drug products which of course were developed first, although Indonesia still has to continue to catch up, namely chemical pharmaceutical ingredients," continued Penny.

Natural products are one of the government's priorities to support and develop. "So we strongly support to accompany, accelerate the registration process, of course while still meeting the standard regulatory aspects. So that the guarantee of safety, quality, benefits of each drug and food in this case is that natural medicines can truly guarantee the health of all Indonesian people," explained the bespectacled woman.

For business entities that have successfully developed natural products and their products have penetrated the export market will receive special incentives or appreciation. Such as acceleration of distribution permits and clinical trials while still paying attention to aspects of regulatory standards covering quality, quality, safety and benefits of a product.
