Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The Deputy Mayor of Malang attended the environmental service month as well as the commemoration of the Indonesian Tree Planting Day (HMPI) at SMPN 11 Malang, Jl. Piranha Atas no. 185, Tunjungsekar, Malang City, Friday (27/11/2020).
Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko in his speech appreciated what SMPN 11 Malang City had done. By continuing to comply with health protocols, the school continues to promote environmental love activities.
"Commemorating the school's anniversary with a tree planting activity is something extraordinary. Hopefully this activity can bring more blessings," said the man who is often called Bung Edi.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMPN 11 Malang City, Yeti Muryaningsih, M.Pd, said that her party continues to improve ahead of the 2021 National Adiwiyata assessment. She said that SMPN 11 continues to be committed to realizing an environmentally aware school.
Yeti said, when commemorating the school's anniversary, they also commemorated it with environmental love activities. "In accordance with the school's mission, which is to excel in technological knowledge based on faith and piety, be competitive, and preserve environmental functions," explained Yeti, Friday (27/11).
This tree planting was carried out by involving all regional stakeholders by planting trees at several points of the school. Of course, with the current conditions which are still in the pandemic period, tree planting also still pays attention to health protocols. (cah/yon)
