Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko attended the tree planting in the framework of National Day Planting Indonesian Trees (HMPI) which was held at the Sampo Field, Kasin Village, Klojen District, Malang City, Saturday (28/11/2020). Deputy Mayor Sofyan Edi said that his party is serious about continuing to green Malang City. With this step, it becomes a real action to contribute to future generations with a good environment.
"In the future, we want to provide generations with springs, not tears, by continuing to improve environmental quality, one of which is by increasing tree planting," explained the man who is often called Bung Edi, Saturday (28/11/2020).
Bung Edi also advised that tree planting activities like this can continue to be carried out evenly throughout the Malang City area. "We are currently entering the rainy season, so many trees are needed to become water catchment areas that can prevent us from flooding," he added.
Bung Edi added, in this HMPI commemoration, his party appealed to all Malang City residents to actively participate in planting trees. The hope is of course that Malang City in the future can be greener, the air healthier, and the environment better.
"Not only planting, we hope that residents will also care for them so that the planted trees live healthily, thus making oxygen in Malang City even better," said Bung Edi. (cah/yon)
