Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa reviewed the progress of preparations for the field hospital on the campus of the Ministry of Health's Health Polytechnic in Malang (Poltekkes Kemenkes Malang), Saturday (05/12/2020).
Accompanied by the Forkopimda ranks, Khofifah requested that the hospital be completed as soon as possible and her party targeted that it would be ready in the next 10 days. This is considering that a number of referral hospitals, especially in Malang City and quarantine places are starting to fill up.
As in Surabaya City, this field hospital that can accommodate up to 306 patients is intended for residents who want to undergo self-isolation. "Residents who are confirmed positive for Covid-19 with a mild to moderate scale or do not have underlying diseases should be isolated in this place. In this regard, self-isolation at home is still worrying because the level of discipline is lacking," said Khofifah.
From this phenomenon, she explained, finally a family cluster emerged like in Malang City and Batu City some time ago. Residents do not need to worry because in this field hospital will be supported by various facilities such as a number of specialist doctors, balanced nutritional fulfillment, sports facilities, parks and others. "So if the patient feels happy then their immunity will immediately improve and finally they can recover," explained the woman in the hijab.
If residents or patients who are isolated suddenly increase their status or enter a severe scale, they will be referred to the nearest referral hospital. This free field hospital is one of the efforts to reduce the capacity of referral hospitals and quarantine places and continue to suppress Covid-19 cases.
