The bespectacled man also emphasized discipline in implementing health protocols. He said that the kiai should also play an active role in various aspects of community life. "In this context, if the kiai conveys it, it will be heard and implemented properly," explained Sutiaji.

In realizing it, he said, the kiai and other religious figures must set an example or start it optimally. "Let's suppress the Covid-19 cases together so that the results are also optimal. Such as always wearing masks and maintaining distance when doing activities and washing hands with soap in running water," added Sutiaji.

Meanwhile, to realize the welfare of the people, one thing that must be a concern is to eradicate the existence of loan sharks, which are very suffocating the community in practice. "In this case, the community can take advantage of the OJIR (program) initiated by the Malang City Government. Residents can borrow money without interest to meet all their needs," he explained.

The program, said Sutiaji, has become pilot project at the East Java and national levels. No less importantly, Sutiaji also advised NU, Muhammadiyah, Christians and other religions to inventory their assets, especially those that have not been certified.

"We will cooperate with the National Land Agency (BPN) of Malang City so that a number of these problems can be resolved as soon as possible. On average, the land for the offices of a number of religious organizations is government land so that its relationship with rent or others must be resolved immediately," concluded Sutiaji.
