Malang – Friday, January 22, 2021, Polresta Malang again innovated its services by officially launching the Arema Police Sobo Kelurahan Bus. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji along with the ranks of the Malang City Forkopimda attended the event held in the front yard of the Malang Police Headquarters.
In his speech, Malang Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Leonardus Simarmata mentioned that there are 2 (two) bus units that will operate. One unit for mobile SIM services and another unit specifically for Arema Police Sobo Kelurahan buses. "This is based on the idea of a prime service concept with proactive. So no longer waiting for customers to come to our office," he explained.
Arema Police Sobo Kelurahan Bus will be equipped with Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) and SKCK service. With this new innovation, Polresta Malang hopes to be able to realize public service accountability. This mobile SIM service is intended for people with Malang City ID cards. This service will also be equipped with health and psychological tests.
On this occasion, Leo Simarmata also re-informed about the Jogo Malang application which has currently been downloaded by around 12.000 customers. This android-based application will make it easier for the public to get services from the police. The public can register by inputting their NIK so that the data of the people who register is valid. Through this application, the public can also find out the schedule and location of the Arema Police Sobo Kelurahan Bus service.
In addition to launching the Arema Police Sobo Kelurahan Bus, on this occasion the Malang Police Chief also inaugurated the Wira Pratama Building which functions as the SPKT (1st Floor) and Command Center (2nd Floor). Some of the services that can be obtained by the SPKT are services for complaints or public reports as well as assistance and help from the police. The Command Center is connected to the CCTV of the Transportation Service and that of the Malang Police. Thus, it will facilitate monitoring the city. Protocol points can be monitored, as well as the position of members in the field can be monitored directly. Thus, if an incident is known, members can come to the scene more quickly.
All of these breakthroughs are certainly expected to further strengthen the performance of the Malang Police, which recently achieved an achievement by winning the title of Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area Integrity Zone (WBBM).
The Mayor, H. Sutiaji, greatly appreciates the performance of the Malang City Police so far, especially the new innovations from the Malang City Police which are trying to get closer to the community.
"In the past, people came to the Polres a bit hesitant, afraid, but now the police are friendly, the police are friends of the people. Not just a slogan, but evidence is shown that the police are present in the midst of people's lives," said Sutiaji. Sutiaji added that with the presence of the Polresta Command Center building, it shows that public services in Malang City are increasingly embracing technological advances in the digital era and all the opportunities it offers for the greatest welfare of the community.
