This PPKM is expected to suppress the spread of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia. The implementation of PPKM in Malang City has not shown a spike. "Why is it continued and it has not spiked, because we still want this number to be able to prevent if there are Covid cases, so that the hospitals are not full," said Emil Dardak.

Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Dardak also appreciated the implementation of the resilient mosque in Malang City. Emil Dardak felt this when attending Friday prayers in congregation at the Great Jami' Mosque in Malang City with the Mayor of Malang Sutiaji and the ranks of the Malang City Forpimda. "I appreciate the resilient mosque program in Malang City which is running well. Everyone follows health protocols," he said.

Furthermore, Malang Mayor Sutiaji said that the resilient mosque program has long been implemented in Malang City. Mosques are expected to implement health protocols and ask their congregations to also comply with health protocols. "A resilient mosque is not just about distance or just the covid protocol of wearing masks but must be more than that, it has a preaching value," he said.

"A resilient mosque means giving an example. This is the Jami Mosque, a mosque that is an example. Now the rows have been given a distance. We are reminded to wear masks. Hopefully, mosques in small areas will follow suit," he said. (EM)
