Malang – Tuesday, January 26, 2020, the Mayor of Malang, H. Sutiaji, held a gathering with the memorizers of the Quran in Malang City. The activity held at the Joint Building, 4th Floor, Malang City Hall was attended by more than 40 Hufaz.
Sutiaji expressed his hope for the realization of One RW One Hafiz. At least there is one hafiz in one RW. He plans to communicate with the village heads to support and encourage their residents to become hafiz. "How wonderful it would be if several hafiz and hafizah emerged. Nemen is happy," he said. Currently, there are a total of 56 hufaz who have students and are registered in Malang City.
On this occasion, Sutiaji also said that he would provide incentives for those who memorize the Quran. Currently, it is budgeted to provide hufaz in Malang City with Rp1.000.000 per month. The plan is that this incentive will be given for 12 months. This incentive will be divided every quarter.
On the sidelines of this activity, Sutiaji also reminded all elements of society, including the hufaz, to realize the OJIR (Ojok Percoyo Karo Rentenir) Program, namely interest-free and collateral-free financing for the community while minimizing the practice of tithil banks/loan sharks.
The Mayor also had the opportunity to socialize PPKM and the 5M health protocol and hoped for prayers from the hufaz so that the pandemic would end soon and the residents of Malang City would be protected from the Covid-19 virus outbreak.
