Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The 2021 Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP) Workshop is entering its third year. Unlike previous implementations, the implementation of KIPP during the Covid-19 pandemic was held online from the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) of Malang City Hall, Wednesday (3/2/2021).

Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji attended the 2021 Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP) Workshop

Malang Mayor, Drs. H. Sutiaji said, Malang City's innovation should not be inferior to other regions. Therefore, he invited all elements to continue to innovate to become better. "The goal of the innovation we do is the value of benefits, and this is what we must strengthen together," said Sutiaji.

Sutiaji also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the regional apparatus within the Malang City Government, starting from the offices to the sub-districts who have made maximum efforts to be the best.
According to him, by continuously innovating and improvising, it will encourage and become the strength of all parties. "Whether they have received the award or are still just participants, but this good intention needs to be given an extraordinary award," said Sutiaji.

He said, it is a must for humans to always innovate, and initiate something that is continuous and has good side values. "On behalf of the Malang City Government, we give appreciation and gratitude for the awards that have been received so far. Hopefully it is not just attached and just an award, but more than that," he said.

Innovation, said Sutiaji, is not only IT-based, but innovation is how to empower and utilize something so that its utility value increases. Moreover, now that we have entered the era of Society 5.0, said the Mayor of Malang, IT must be developed by moral people so that it has value and utility for other communities. This is what must be strengthened together.

Meanwhile, Regional Secretary Wasto said that public services must continue to run because they are the rights of the people. However, on the other hand, it must ensure that the spread of Covid-19 does not increase. "Such as washing hands with soap, maintaining distance, wearing masks, reducing crowds, reducing activities outside the home," he said.

He also encouraged regional apparatuses, educational units to innovate and participate in existing innovation competitions. KIPP Malang City was attended by 323 participants consisting of 28 regional apparatuses, 57 sub-districts, 16 health centers, 27 junior high schools, and 195 elementary schools in Malang City.
