The community elements that Bung Edi invited to green the city of Malang were the National Vocational School of Malang City, Radar Malang, a team of cultural heritage experts, and bicycle communities from various agencies, such as Diskopindag, Satpol PP, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Brawijaya.

On the way to the location of the pule tree planting, Bung Edi, the nickname of the Deputy Mayor of Malang, stopped at several points, namely on Jalan Veteran, precisely in front of the Malang State University Campus and the gate of Brawijaya University Malang to show the trees that had previously been planted for greening purposes.

"On my way here, I introduced a 5-year-old pule tree in the Jalan Veteran area. Next, we will continue to plant pule trees in the Malang City area. We have provided approximately 11.000 seedlings ready to be planted in Malang," said Bung Edi.

For information, some time ago, Bung Edi had tested an e-bike made by students of SMK Nasional Malang City. After making improvements, he tried out the e-bike again by touring the heritage tourism in Malang City.

The test drive route or e-bike trial, starts from SMK Nasional towards Jalan Kawi - Suropati Heroes Cemetery - Jalan Merdeka Utara - towards the Chairil Anwar statue and the Great Jami' Mosque. Then head south of the Brantas Bridge (Bug Gluduk) and continue to Kota Baru Station. Then the Malang City Hall area - Brawijaya Museum - Heroes Monument Trip in the Ijen Boulevard area - Suropati Heroes Cemetery then ends at SMK Nasional.

In this cycling and heritage tour activity, Bung Edi received an explanation and a first-hand story about the history of the area from Malang cultural figure, Dwi Cahyono who also cycled with the group. "We try to introduce to the public, both from the archipelago and abroad, that the history of Malang is actually very extraordinary," he concluded.

He hopes that by cycling to several heritage points, it can become a city tourism activity and can lift the community's economy. (eka/ram)
