Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government through the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) held a regional apparatus forum at the Atria Hotel Malang, Monday (22/02/2021). This forum was held to improve the performance of Satpol PP along with the increasing demands of work. This is to build integrity and public trust in the government.
Satpol PP is required to be professional in carrying out its duties as enforcers of regional regulations. In addition, Satpol PP is also required to be able to protect the community, to be a good role model in enforcing rules and order.
Head of Satpol PP Malang City, Drs. Priyadi, MM revealed that the regional apparatus forum aims to design a work plan for 2022 to be better and more systematic. In the future, it is hoped that it can bring more benefits to the community. "We are adjusting to the direction of the Mayor of Malang, in 2022 we must improve our performance even better. We will continue to improve everything. So that Satpol PP's performance is even better," said Priyadi.
Meanwhile, in supporting the performance of the agency he leads, Priyadi said that currently he has received an additional 5 state civil apparatus (ASN). In the future, of course, it will be increased according to needs, including anticipating the large number of Satpol PP members who retire.
"Likewise with the increase in personnel capacity to be able to anticipate the increasing expectations of the community. We will continue to do it," said Priyadi.
One example, such as on Jl Ijen which should be sterile from motorized pedicabs (Bentor) according to the direction of the Mayor of Malang will be anticipated as soon as possible. Satpol PP will conduct monitoring and patrols more often.
He emphasized again, before being disciplined by Satpol PP, the community must first be able to discipline themselves. If that can be done, it will certainly be a separate point, because Satpol PP can work well in providing an example to the community. (cah/ram)
