Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – Wonojati Job Training Center (BLK) conducted hydroponic and fish farming training for people with disabilities in Blimbing District and Lowokwaru District, Malang City, Tuesday (23/02/2021). The goal is for people with disabilities to be productive and have skills in the world of work.

Head of BLK Wonojati, Nur Fadil, SE., MM said that activities with people with disabilities in Blimbing and Lowokwaru had been programmed in advance. This is an effort by the government to help people with disabilities to be more productive and accepted in the world of work.
"We hope that with this training, people with disabilities can live normally and can make a good contribution to society," explained Nur Fadil.
With guidance from BLK, people with disabilities can improve their skills so that they are not marginalized and are able to become an independent generation. If they already have expertise and skills, it is hoped that they can be accepted in the world of work or create jobs.
As mandated by the Employment Law, companies are required to accept people with disabilities with a quota of 2,5 percent. Therefore, so that companies that accept work are not burdened, people with disabilities must be given skills first.
Through training, people with disabilities are expected to understand the world of work so that when they jump in, they are ready. Despite having shortcomings, people with disabilities certainly have advantages that can be relied on. "It must be understood together to guide people with disabilities so that they can be independent, increase their productivity, and not depend on other parties. This is a shared determination," said Nur Fadil.
Specifically for BLK Wonojati, currently launching two vocational programs for people with disabilities. First, in Blimbing, a hydroponic agriculture vocational package is provided. Second, in Lowokwaru, a freshwater fisheries cultivation vocational package is provided. (cah/ram)
