Implementing PPKM, Malang City is Free from Covid-19 Red Zone

Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City has been free from the red zone of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is due to the cooperation of all parties in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 by implementing strict health protocols. The statement was conveyed by the East Java Provincial Government during a virtual evaluation meeting at the Ngalam Command Center (NCC), Tuesday (23/2/2021).

Regional Secretary of Malang City, Drs. Wasto, SH., MH revealed that from the evaluation earlier from Bakorwil III Malang, all were asked to report on the handling of Covid-19 in each region. Meanwhile, in Malang City, the development of implementing the Implementation of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) has been relatively good.

"There are no red zones in all areas in Malang City. The number of green zones increased from 3.927 RTs on February 15 to 4.072 RTs on February 22, 2021. This means that there were 145 yellow zones a week ago that are now green," explained Wasto.

"I emphasize to the sub-district heads to please pay attention to the top five zones whose status is still yellow so that they receive more attention," Wasto emphasized.

Of the five yellow zones, they are spread across four sub-districts, namely Lowokwaru, Blimbing, Sukun, and Kedungkandang. Only Klojen Sub-district is free from the Covid-19 yellow zone. Seeing this data, Wasto asked to always implement strict health protocols and provide education to residents so that the spread of Covid-19 can be suppressed in Malang City. (cah/ram)
