Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – Enlivening the pulse of the betta fish championship in Malang City, Bosyons Event Organizer made a breakthrough by holding the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) betta fish championship and the International Betta Congress (IBC) at the end of February 2021 at a shopping center in Malang City, Friday (27/02/2021).
The committee of the championship, Yoyon Suryono, said that this championship was an effort to arouse the spirit of betta fish farmers to appear again in the contest. Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, residents who love betta fish turned out to have high enthusiasm. "Not only coming from Malang, this championship was also attended by participants from Surabaya to Solo," explained Yoyon.
Yoyon added that the championship was held during the pandemic, so it was carried out by implementing health protocols. So that participants who took part in the event were not exposed to Covid-19 and were broadcast online.
"We hope that this championship can revive the atmosphere of the betta championship in Malang City. Where previously it had receded due to the Covid-19 pandemic," said Yoyon.
Through this championship, participants can see the quality of their betta fish. These betta fish are not only competed with local bettas in Malang, but also face the quality of bettas from various regions outside the city.
Betta contestant from Solo, Wiliam admitted that he came to Malang City bringing as many as 10 bettas. This contest means a lot to him because his hobby is keeping betta fish. "If there were no betta contest, I would be confused and bored just staying at home. With a contest like this, I am happy to be able to travel out of town, even though I have to follow health protocols," said Wiliam. (cah/ram)
