Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – Continuing to promote the love of planting movement, Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko again greeted the community in RW 8, Tlogomas Village, Saturday (27/2/2021). He said this activity was carried out for the umpteenth time to strengthen the character of the community in terms of loving the environment.
Through direct examples by leaders, it is hoped that it can inspire people to plant. "While it is still the rainy season, we must speed up tree planting so that the plants can grow well. Because they get enough water supply," explained Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname.
Bung Edi said that growing a love of planting trees is very important, not only for the current generation but also for future generations. If you like planting, it will be a fertilizer and strengthening of the community's character in accordance with the mission carried out by the Malang City Government.
"If we are used to planting, it will strengthen the nation's character. The culture of planting, the culture of the community, must continue to be promoted," he said.
The vision of the Malang City Government is to strengthen the character of the nation. For that, through this continuous planting movement, it is hoped that it can educate the public about the importance of the planting movement. Especially now during the Covid-19 pandemic, the planting movement will be very good for improving environmental conditions so that oxygen increases.
