Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government has five strategies to accelerate economic recovery in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, namely Malang Buys Local Products (Malpro), Malang Shares (Malber), Malang Herbal (Malherb), Malang Digital Service (Maldis), and Malang Bahagia (Malba).

That was what the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, said when he was a speaker in a live dialogue at the JTV Malang Studio, Thursday (4/3/2021) which raised the theme 'Economic Recovery of Malang City in the Midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic'.
"In this Covid-19 pandemic season, assistance for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) continues to be intensified. This is so that MSMEs are able to market their products in the global economic market," said Sutiaji.
Sutiaji revealed the five strategies, such as Malang Buy Local Products (Malpro) which aims to encourage the strengthening of the local economy and MSMEs. Although it is a circular, Sutiaji said that it has made it mandatory for ASN in the Malang City Government to shop at the people's market.
"Because ASN must set an example. That way, the people's market will remain alive," he explained.
Then the Malang Berbagi (Malber) strategy which means strengthening the pentahelix during the Covid-19 pandemic. The next acceleration strategy with the Malang Herbal (Malherb) concept which means developing herbal products as an alternative health supplement.
"So we are returning to the lifestyle of our parents' era, who did not consume too many chemical drugs and returned to consuming herbal medicines," he explained.
Then it was explained that there was a Malang Digital Service (Maldis) strategy that aimed to encourage online-based services. This is also one of the steps towards Malang Smart City. The next acceleration strategy revealed by Sutiaji is Malang Bahagia (Malba), which means a digital campaign for a healthy lifestyle to the citizens of Malang City. (yon/ram)
