Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The safety and security of the people is the highest sovereignty. This is the guideline for the movement of the City Government, TNI and Polri in an effort to protect the citizens of Malang from the dangers of Covid-19. "This pandemic is still in our midst. It can come anytime and anywhere. As is the case, what we did not expect and predict, Covid-19 also targeted a shelter. So the steps of vigilance and caution guided by the 6 M are absolute, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap, avoiding crowds, limiting mobility and increasing immunity, "said the Mayor of Malang Sutiaji.

"Therefore, in responding to and handling demonstrations, of course, we are also guided by this. I emphasize that there is no such thing as discrimination. Voicing aspirations is allowed but must pay attention to the situation. Currently, we are all still implementing Micro PPKM and efforts to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases so that we will not take the risk of any potential that could give rise to new clusters. Once again, the cessation of demonstrations takes this into account," explained Mr. Aji, as the Mayor of Malang is familiarly called, clearly.
"Today we (Pemkot, Polresta and Kodim) are fighting day and night, going from one village to another and routinely combing the streets to educate on prevention and break the chain of the spread of Covid-19. And we believe that all Arema residents are determined to be free from Covid-19 immediately. On that basis, all forms of activities that have an impact on the risk of spreading Covid-19, including our demonstrations, are stopping. So it is not true that the action of stopping demonstrations is discriminatory. In enforcement operations, we also often stop social activities, we have even broken up wedding celebrations. This means that there is no discrimination, and it can also be seen that before the pandemic, the city of Malang always provided space for anyone to express their aspirations," said the Mayor of Malang who is also the Head of the Malang City Covid-19 Task Force.
As a form of determination that the city of Malang loves peace and rejects all forms of violence and is determined to fight Covid-19, on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, the Malang City Government, supported by the Regional Leadership Forum (Forpimda), University Leaders, Religious Figures, Youth Organizations and Community Organizations, held a Peace Declaration.
