Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) together with religious organizations, youth organizations and community organizations held a Declaration to Protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Fight Covid-19, Radicalism, Terrorism and Drugs in front of Malang City Hall, Wednesday (10/3/2021).
There are five points of commitment declared, namely maintaining the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (RKRI), fighting the spread of Covid-19, preventing and overcoming radicalism and terrorism, rejecting all forms of anarchism, and eradicating the distribution and abuse of narcotics and other illegal substances.
Malang Mayor, Drs. H. Sutiaji said that this declaration is a form of joint commitment between the Malang City Government and all elements in order to jointly realize a safe and peaceful Malang City. "I would like to express my gratitude to the Malang City Police Chief and the Commander of the 0833 Malang City Military District Command, along with his staff for their efforts to maintain the security stability of our city," said Sutiaji.
He hopes that Malang City with 'Salam Satu Jiwa' is not just a slogan. But further it can be interpreted and implemented in everyday community life. Malang City is a miniature of Indonesia, where there is a diversity of residents in it. So according to him it is certain that there will be various aspirations that can be accepted by the government.
He added that the Malang City Government will always be open to receiving aspirations from the community, only that the aspirations are conveyed in a peaceful manner. "Especially now that we are in a pandemic, so maybe conveying aspirations in a virtual form can be a good alternative solution," he said.
Meanwhile, in the framework of National Music Day which is commemorated every March 9, on this occasion there was also a musical performance in the form of a guitar solo from the Trans-7 Indonesian Smart Children Academy Finalist Nadarin Gizele and a poetry reading by Efti Satuhu Nur Rohmah, S. Pd from the Indonesian Language Subject Teachers' Conference in Malang City.
Also present at this event, Deputy Mayor of Malang, Acting Regional Secretary of Malang City Ir. Hadi Santoso and the head of the regional apparatus of Malang City Government were also present at this activity. (yon/ram)
