Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji welcomed the draft regional regulation (Ranperda) discussed in the Malang City DPRD. Among them are legal aid for the poor, archiving, advertising tax, and changes to Regional Regulation Number 11 of 2019 concerning the Tugu Tirta Regional Drinking Water Public Company.

"Legal aid for the poor is very necessary. Because not all people are legally literate," explained Sutiaji, Monday (15/3/2021).
In the future, if regional regulations (perda) already exist, of course it will be technically passed down through mayoral regulations on standard operating procedures (SOP). Where it can be collaborated with legal aid institutions in universities. "Moreover, in Malang City there are already campuses that collaborate with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. That will make it even easier," said Sutiaji.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, I Made Riandiana Kartika, SE revealed that there are actually four draft regional regulations that will be discussed this year. However, one of them has been discussed in 2020, namely regarding advertising tax which was submitted last year so there is no plenary session anymore.

"During this session, we discussed four draft regional regulations, namely the first regarding advertising tax, legal aid for the poor, archives, and Perumda Tugu Tirta," explained I Made.
The draft of this regional regulation will be further discussed by a special committee (pansus) in the Malang City DPRD. So, he said, the process is still long starting from the discussion in the faction, the mayor's answer. (cah/ram)
